GIMP 2.6 Rocks! No Need for Adobe Photoshop

Go to http://www.gimp.org/ there are downloads for Win ,Mac0SX and Unix.
I've installed GIMP on Win XP and Mac 0SX with very few problems. The user interface is far better than years ago when I toyed around with it on a Win OS.
I've used CS3 recently and GIMP is tough competition for Adobe.
My new blawg header was a simple text in image I tossed together in GIMP.
It's free all the time no trials. It's open source code software.

Here was the map and Plan A.

Day one was to set up camp, goof off get to bed early. Then wake up early, drive to trail head on Kephart Prong Trail and hike 2.5 miles up to Kephart Shelter then hike back.  I wanted to show everyone what a shelter looked like if we were to do a back country hike one day. 

Here's the photo of the shelter I showed the kids, Madison said " Where's the door?"
I said it's a shelter not a cottage.

Plans don't always work out like you plan. Due to a quick hike that turned into a not so quick hike after setting up camp on day one.

The Lord's Supper and How It Started.

The supper of the Lord Jesus was instituted by him the same night wherein he was betrayed 1, to be observed in his churches 2, unto the end of the world 3, for the perpetual remembrance and showing forth the sacrifice of himself in his death, 4 confirmation of the faith of believers in all the benefits thereof, 5 their spiritual nourishment and growth in him,6 their further engagement in and to all duties which they owe to him;7 and to be a bond and pledge of their communion with him and with each other.8

The Lord's Supper and It's Significance.

There are several terms used for the Lord's Supper, Communion, Breaking of Bread or even Eucharist (which may be the least common, especially for reformed churches). Christians are usually familiar with the process, no matter what the doctrinal background. But how well do we know the significance and seriousness of the whole matter?
I would like to encourage you to research this for yourself and ask yourself "what do I really know about it?" Also "what has your church taught you about it" and "what have you taught your children?"

My next posts will cover a few things pertaining to this, as I refocus my own direction in the matter.

LHC ( Large Hadron Collider )

The Large Hadron Collider is the world's largest particle accelerator complex, intended to collide opposing beams of 7 TeV protons. It's main purpose is to explore the validity and limitations of the Standard Model, the current theoretical picture for particle physics. The LHC was built by thee European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN), and lies under the Franco-Swiss border near Geneva, Switzerland.
The LHC is the world's largest and the highest-energy particle accelerator. It is funded and built in collaboration with over eight thousand physicists from over eighty-five countries as well as hundreds of universities and laboratories.
When activated, it is theorized that the collider will produce the elusive Higgs boson, the observation of which could confirm the predictions and missing links in the Standard Model of physics and could explain how other elementary particles acquire properities such as mass.

Sounds like a bunch of horse hockey, let me guess now, the thing will break down somehow and not work and it will take years to fix it.

So try to stay calm and don't fall into the black hole that this thing creates. God is still in control, this is not going to get you any closer to God, unless it kills us all.
